The heretic, Horus. Once a powerful Warlord under the control of the One Emperor, now a cursed name on the tongues of the Universe. He almost destroyed the universe in a vast war that almost consumed everything the One Emperor stood for.
He is not a being to worship or even pity. Let his name be stricken from the mouths of all. But, let him not be forgotten, for we are doomed to repeat our sins.

Horus, The Warmaster
The Chaos Gods corrupted half the Primarchs by appealing to their virtue and courage. They were tempted to lead their Space Marine Chapters against the Emperor. Initially, even the Primarchs had little idea that they had fallen to Chaos, but when they rebelled their good intentions gradually fell away as Chaos saturated their souls. By the same token the Marine Chapters that they lead also turned slowly but inevitably to Chaos.
The Leader of the Rebellion was the Warmaster Horus, the greatest and most trusted Primarch of all. He had stood by the Emperor's side throughout the long years of the Great Crusade. They had fought back to back at the siege of Reillis when the Emperor saved Horus's life. On the battlefield of Gorro, Horus had repaid the debt by hacking the arm from a frenzied Ork as it struggled to choke the Emperor's life out of him.
Horus's fall came as a great shock to the Emperor. For a vital month the Emperor hesitated, stunned by the extent of Horus's treachery, unable to believe that his friend and general was really gathering forces against him. When the war finally broke out it was savage and bloody. Marine fought Marine as the rival factions battled for supremacy.

Horus may be included in any Chaos Army and counts as one of its HQ choices. He must be used exactly as described below, and can not be given any additional equipment. He may be only used in a battle where both players have agreed to the use of special characters.
Wargear: Terminator Armour, The Claws of Horus and a Corrupted Rosarius (4+ Invulnerable save).
SPECIAL RULES
The Talons of Horus: The Claws of Horus are a matched pair of Lightening Claws with a early version of an Imperial Storm Bolter attached to the right Talon.
Corrupted Rosarius: Horus was blessed with this one of a kind artifact by a Lord of Change trying to curry favor with Horus. Its treated just like an Imperial Rosarius.
Retinue: Horus may take a Retinue as normal. The only exception to this is that you may also use Chaos Terminators with no heavy weapons. If you use Chaos Terminators then Horus and his Retinue may Deep Strike. If you upgrade one to a Standard Bearer, the standard replaces the power weapon.
Psychic Powers: Horus is a powerful psyker. If He rolls a double one on a psychic test, He's not attacked by a beast from the warp. He may still be attacked on a roll of double 6.
Scream: Horus may attempt to use the Scream psychic power in His own assault phase. Scream has the following effect;
| All enemy models and units within 12" must take a Ld test. If passed there is no effect. If failed then they may not make an assault move next turn. |
| Horus may attempt to increase his stats by one. For each stat (players choice, excluding wounds.) he wishes to raise, roll a d6. If any doubles are rolled, he receives a wound with no chance to save. |
Modeling Horus

There are two ways I know to make Horus.
First, the easiest. You take Abbadon (AKA Horus Clone), cut off his topknot and glue on some old Chaos Lightning Claws. These you can get from GW's English Branch.
The second, and last, is not so easy (that's the one I did).
Take an old Chaos Termie, preferably a Sgt. or captain, and remove the Head. This can be done with a hand drill (or Pin Vise). Drill a hole in the center of his head and use a x-acto blade to remove the leftover sides. Next, you need a head. I recommend one of the Goliath (the Necromunda gang) heads. Cut the head of the mini and clean it up. Remove his Mohawk (or leave it, your choice). Glue this in place. Then, add some old Chaos Lightning Claws. The last step is to personalize him. Add bits of chain, a few skulls and the like. Go as nuts as you want.
